This project looks into the existing conditions as well as the future conditions of 2050 and 2080, considering sea level rise under different storm scenarios, which poses significant challenges for calibrating and evaluating the model at this scale.
I took the lead in building this model with existing permitting data for 1D elements and integrated the 1D elements into the overall larger 2D mesh, which forms a hybrid model. The modeling results are consistent with the trend of the FEMA flood plan, which confirms the effectiveness of calibration and validation.
